I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of two, trying as best I can to nurture my kids into healthy adults. It isn’t easy. I have found that taking my questions to God and listening to him speak to my heart has given me the clarity and creativity I need for this ever-changing job.
I know. Most people who talk to God don’t expect him to hear him answer. It’s not like I hear voices, but when I listen to the voice in my heart saying things I would never think of on my own, and when those words are full of love, I know it’s him. Rather than keep these conversations to myself, I’ve chosen to share them with anyone who wants to listen.
In order to protect my family’s privacy, I am blogging under a pseudonym. Identifying information such as my children’s names have been removed from the posts. But aside from that, you will read unedited conversations, just me and God.
There are many of us who have made listening prayer part of our daily lives. In fact, I believe that anyone who wants to can hear God speak to their heart. If you’re interested in learning more, I recommend the writings of Mark and Patti Virkler.
